•       Structured Due Diligence –At Value Plus Ventures, we approach the due diligence process with the same scrutiny as if we were the lead investor in an institutional round.  We want to understand the team, the business model, the corporate structure, the capitalization table, the sales pipeline and etc.  In most cases, we will interview both existing as well as potential customers. 

•       Measureable Milestones – The milestones are the most important outcome of the due diligence process.  The milestones will be the primary focus of the organization for the near term and achieving the milestones will define the success of the company, long term.  The milestones will vary drastically among companies however, the common thread is a measurable success which should lead to an institutional investment.

•       Active in-house Participation – We believe in a hands-on approach to success.  The background of the Value Plus Ventures partners is founded in operations and the partners believe that an experienced management team has a decided advantage over first time executives.  It is this principal that drives the required involvement but not the replacement of the management team.
