Demetree’s career has encompassed both operating and investment management responsibilities. Prior to co-founding Value Plus Ventures, Mr. Demetree spent approximately 2 years with Recordant, Inc. and Alpharetta, Ga. based emerging company.  Chris joined Recordant as part of the initial management team.  He served as chief operating officer charged with implementing Recordant solutions across the company’s customer base.  Mr. Demetree was charged with identifying, establishing and managing the relationships with Recordant’s corporate business partners. Additionally, he assisted the CEO in securing over $12 Million in venture capital, and establishing and implementing corporate strategy as the organization grew from 4 to 30 employees.

In 2003, he founded AGS, private equities and consulting company focused on early stage investment opportunities.  Through AGS, Mr. Demetree was active with multiple companies focused in both private and government markets.   

Prior to founding AGS, Demetree transformed Intelligenxia, Inc., an advanced analytical software company, from an early stage start-up to a revenue-generating industry player.  Within the first few months of Demetree’s tenure as president and CEO, Intelligenxia generated its initial revenues and raised significant working capital.

Demetree also co-founded Urban Media, Inc., a Silicon Valley-based telecommunications company with primary engineering and operations located in Atlanta.  In addition, Demetree remains active with Demetree Brothers Inc., a real estate and investment company, effectively using his previous experience in commercial development. 

Demetree is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology where he earned a degree in industrial management.  He is married with three children.
